Glowing Finds at Space NK
Who doesn’t love a quick trip into the glossy shelves of Space NK? It’s a glow getter’s heaven with beautiful products and packaging (I am such a sucker for the latter!). I wanted to share some of the items from this store that are currently on my wishlist and why. But, before I delve into some of my current wishlist products, I’d like to quickly clarify what I mean by ‘conscious beauty’, sometimes it feels like its the new ‘organic’ or ‘natural’ or just the latest buzzy marketing word.
But the word ‘conscious’ is so important to me that it’s a part of my blog name. It is about awareness, mindfulness and that knowledge is power. Instead of just going through the motions, to make purchases and decisions that impact our health and environment, do them with intention…consciously. SMALL CONSCIOUS CHANGES are better than none at all. My makeup is a work in progress! I am still using the products I have loved and indulged in for years at the same time I am opening my mind to trying newer, cleaner based makeup products that didn’t even exist a decade ago!
I thought I would talk about this so people understand that I am not contradicting myself by highlighting a product that potentially isn’t ‘natural’ or ‘clean’ but that I purchase with intention and am consciously aware of its ingredients, brand ethos and how it plays into my overall skincare and beauty routine. On Instagram I clarify this more while also showcasing my beauty journey to where I am today, feel free to follow along at @TheConsciousGlow. Now let’s dig in!
CURRENTLY COVETING: Glow Getter Approved Space NK Finds
HOURGLASS Vanish Airbursh Concealer (£32) - Vegan ✔️ Cruelty-free ✔️ Non- comedogenic formula ✔️✔️No clogging my pores here! I love how weightless it is while providing full-coverage and it comes in a wide variety of 22 shades. Bonus: It’s waterproof!
VIRTUE Healing Oil (£40) - I first discovered this brand at the Indie Beauty Expo last year and I am thrilled to see them at Space NK. This product of theirs is perfect for split ends and to increase volume. A must with the number of brush blow-drys I like (#guilty!).
CHANTECAILLE Pure Rosewater (£65) - Anyone that knows me understands my love for rose water (see my previous blog post). I’m even working on a product where you ingest it because of its health benefits (follow @InBloomDrops for more details). I am excited to try this one full of antioxidants, anti-inflammatory, and anti-bacterial properties. This ingredient has been hailed as the elixir of youth for centuries - I can’t wait to try this brand’s rosewater myself!
FRESH Rose Hydrating Eye Gel Cream (£34) - Up until recently, I have gotten away without using eye creams as I believe my serums (the more natural ones anyway) do the job, however, one of my friends told me about this particular eye gel. I am intrigued to try especially as again it has my glow to ingredient (rose!) in it!
OMOROVICZA Complexion Perfector (£60)- I am not 100% happy with the colours of my tinted moisturisers (especially in the winter months sans a tan) this is one that has come highly recommended and I am definitely going to try. It is a do-it-all type of product that is a sun cream, concealer, anti-ageing cream, foundation and moisturiser all in one formula. Perfect for myself and fellow mums who sometimes only have two minutes to get ready in the morning or my fellow jet-setters who want to pack light with this multi-tasking skin perfector!
Stay tuned for videos as I try these products and share my honest opinion on whether they’re worth a restock or not. Follow along at @TheConscious Glow!
