You Glow Girl
“Beauty is not flawless, it shines through your flaws.”
Something that’s been on my mind lately: Have you ever sat down and wondered who or what has been ingrained in us to think a particular person is beautiful or why? For instance, why is fat seen as not as beautiful as thin? Or why having very defined ankles is more aesthetically pleasing that less defined?
I have been thinking of these things a lot, especially when I’m being critical of what I perceive as my flaws. I’ve noticed that when you talk about something or worry about something you draw more attention to that particular thing you are identifying as a ‘flaw’, you give more power to it. That’s why I’ve recently been trying to practice the power of positivity.
By being confident in your own skin you draw positivity to yourself and attract positivity. The more we realise that a lot of what we see in the media is a depiction of a false sense of perfection we realise nothing is perfect and perfection comes from embracing our imperfections and believing in yourself that we are all beautiful and that beauty truly comes from within.
That’s why my message to you today is that I hope each and every one of you feels strong, beautiful and confident. It is time we redefined what beauty stands for! We are all beautiful! Lets celebrate together: YOU GLOW GIRL!
